For the sixth straight year, Drew was included in The Princeton Review’s Guide to 361 Green Colleges.

Drew's inclusion emerged from a broader pool of 640 colleges that Princeton Review receently surveyed. The survey asked about sustainability-related policies, practices and programs. More than 25 data points were weighted in the assessment.

The company gave Drew a green rating of 86 on a scale of 60 to 99. Among the school’s "greenest" features are: dedicating a portion of the food budget to local and organic foods, providing transportation alternatives like bike- and car-sharing programs, and having a sustainability committee and sustainability officer.

In addition, Drew has an arboretum (Zuck Arboretum) that serves as a laboratory for students enrolled in its Environmental Studies and Sustainability program. The program incorporates a science option, an environmental justice initiative and a center for geographic information systems. It also fosters collaboration with other departments on sustainability research projects.
