Biography
Mater Dei High School (2002-2015) College and Career Counselor & Academic Counselor -Responsible for all college and career resources and individual college planning meetings for ~2100 students. Also responsible for a caseload of 200+ freshmen students. University of California, Irvine (2014-present) Admissions Application Reader - Read admission applications for freshmen and transfer students applying to UC Irvine. UC Santa Cruz Alumni Representative (2015-present) Drexel University Advisory Board (2015-present) Villanova University Office of Admissions Advisory Council (2012-present) - Was asked to be one of 6 counselors from around the World to advise Villanova on issues pertaining to college admissions. Southern Methodist University Counselor Advisory Board (2012-2014) - Am one of 5 counselors from around the country advising SMU on their Inaugural Counselor Advisory Board. I represent all schools West of Missouri. Seton Hall University National Advisory Board (2005-2006)- Was asked by Seton Hall to be one of four counselors from around the country to serve on their National Advisory Board. National Institute for Educational Planning (NIEP) (1999-2002) College Counselor and College Tour Leader – Counseled private clients through the admissions process. Also led students on college tours around the country (I have toured over 200+colleges) James Logan High School (1994-1999) Mission Possible Coordinator – Coordinated a program for first-generation, low-income and underrepresented students in conjunction with Cal State Hayward. UC Santa Cruz (1990-1993) Head Resident Assistant – Was responsible for 16 resident assistants at Oakes College. Planned activities for residents in dorms and apartments and counseled students with academic and social issues. UC Santa Barbara (1989-1990) Peer Mentor – Mentored students concerning health issues and counseling.
