Biography
Anne began working as a college guidance counselor at The Frisch School in Paramus, NJ, following almost 30 years as a teacher of literature and writing at the high school and college level.
As an independent counselor, Anne enjoys guiding and supporting a diverse group of students through the college selection and application process. Her clients have obtained admission to a wide variety of colleges and universities ranging from the nation's most selective to those best suited to individuals with specialized interests and needs. Always, her emphasis is on reducing stress and helping her students secure admission to schools which are a good fit for them both academically and socially, places where they will thrive and succeed.
A member of four professional organizations, Anne regularly attends meetings and workshops to keep abreast of trends in college admissions, meets with admissions officers, and visits twenty or more colleges each year in order to gain first-hand information about their programs, campus life, facilities, and cultures.
With her expertise as a teacher of writing, Anne especially enjoys helping students produce compelling, high quality application essays that reflect their unique personalities and distinctive voices. She has a gentle touch and believes it is important that students not only produce the finest applications they can, but also end up feeling good about both the process and their products.
